Whew, I'm exhausted!
Where has the time gone??? Wasn't I just at TNNA? And now the 4th of July is this coming weekend?? Wow! TNNA is fiber Nirvana for shop owners and fiber enthusiasts, so I was thrilled to be asked to accompany Penny from Wool, Warp and Wheel to the show this year. And can I just say, HOLY CROCHET, Batman! I'm used to the wild and unusual that you see there, but the amount of crochet and knitted lace was unbelievable.
That being said, I was able to get some new patterns and yarn samples to "play with". Penny is starting to get in some new yarns and notions that are yummy. So we are having a great time going through everything and trying out all the new stuff.
One thing I noticed was the more earthy tones this year. Lots of fall colors, and watery colors (both of which are my favorites, woo hoo). So when I get to have some dyeing time, guess what colors I will be using?? Yep, you got it!
As you may have noticed on the Home page, we have two more shows this year. A one-day show in Kansasville, WI, at Lavender Acres, and the every popular Wisconsin Sheep and Wool Festival, in Jefferson, WI. If you are looking to have us process your fiber, either of these events would be a good place to "drop off" your fiber with us. This will save you postage for shipping or driving to the mill to drop it off, and we can discuss what you are looking for, and I can look at and evaluate your fiber for the best processing possible.
Look forward to see all of you soon!! God Bless!
